Ebay anuncia despido del 9% de su fuerza laboral

@factores.economicos ebay (EBAY) anunció ayer martes que planea despedir al 9% de su fuerza laboral, lo que equivale a aproximadamente 1,000 empleos a tiempo completo, mientras la industria tecnológica continúa reduciendo su tamaño para comenzar el 2024.

Jamie Iannone, director ejecutivo de eBay, dijo a los empleados en una carta publicada en un blog corporativo, que la compañía también “reducirá la cantidad de contratos que tenemos dentro de nuestra fuerza laboral alternativa en los próximos meses”.

Iannone dijo que los recortes de empleos son necesarios porque “la cantidad total de empleados y los gastos de eBay han superado el crecimiento de nuestro negocio”.

“Para abordar esto, estamos implementando cambios organizativos que alinean y consolidan ciertos equipos para mejorar la experiencia de principio a fin y satisfacer mejor las necesidades de nuestros clientes en todo el mundo”, dijo Iannone. “En breve, comenzaremos a notificar a los empleados cuyos roles han sido eliminados y entraremos en un proceso de consulta en las áreas donde sea necesario”.

El precio de la acción de eBay (EBAY) acumula una pérdida de 11.31% durante los últimos 12 meses.
