La reina del atletismo, Yulimar Rojas se alzó en una encuesta realizada , ganando como la mejor deportista latinoamericana y caribeña de la temporada 2022.

La venezolana, fue la más votada entre las mujeres, con 32 papeletas en el sondeo, gracias a sus destacadas actuaciones en este año, en la cual revalidó su diamante.

Con 26 años dejó atrás a la marchista peruana Kimberly García (9).

Esta es la tercera vez que Rojas se alza con el trofeo de la Encuesta, pues se impuso antes en 2017 y 2019.

En 2022 hizo historia al convertirse en la primera mujer capaz de obtener tres títulos mundiales de triple salto. En la justa del orbe, celebrada en Eugene, Estados Unidos la sudamericana se impuso con un registro de 15,47 metros, lo mejor de la temporada.
