El presidente de Colombia Iván Duque anunció hoy, lunes, 3 de mayo, la designación de José Manuel Restrepo como nuevo Ministro de Hacienda.

Restrepo venía desempeñándose como Ministro de Comercio, había sido rector de la Universidad del Rosario y llega en reemplazo de Alberto Carrasquilla, quien renunció este lunes al cargo.

La tarea del nuevo Ministro será liderar una propuesta de reforma tributaria que sea atractiva y aceptada por ciudadanía, bancadas políticas en Congreso, empresarios y expertos.

El nuevo ministro es economista con Maestría en Economía en El London School of Economics y Doctorado en Administración de U. de Bath, exrector U. Rosario.
