La aerolínea Air Europa sumará a partir de abril una nueva frecuencia entre Madrid y Medellín (Colombia), lo que supondrá un incremento medio del 30,7 % del número de plazas, según ha informado en un comunicado.

Air Europa ha explicado que, con la incorporación de esta nueva frecuencia, afianza su presencia en Colombia, donde tiene buenos resultados desde que puso en marcha la línea.

La aerolínea española opera tres vuelos semanales (martes, jueves y sábados) a Medellín desde el pasado junio, a los que se sumará la nueva frecuencia, que volará los viernes.

Air Europa vuela con un Boeing 787-8 con capacidad para 274 pasajeros en clase turista y 22 en “business”.

Según ha indicado la aerolínea, las frecuencias que ya operan transportan 44.000 pasajeros al año y tienen cuotas de ocupación cercanas al 90 %.

Medellín es el segundo destino en Colombia de Air Europa, que también opera rutas a Bogotá.
